A message for you from Pastor Tim and Lydia Clarke
College is an exciting new chapter—a place where you’ll learn, grow, and discover who you are. But it can also be overwhelming, especially when you’re away from the familiarity of home.
We first met as students on the college campus, so we understand the struggle is REAL! The pressures of 1) academics; 2) building new relationships; 3) finding financial aid, roommates, transportation and affordable housing; 4) working and going to school if necessary, and 5) missing family/friends, can all take a toll on you spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
You may feel isolated and alone, even in crowds. You may think everyone else is handling college life better than you. You may be too embarrassed or untrusting of your family/peers to share your struggles.
Even though we graduated from college years ago, nothing has really changed. The challenges may look different, but they result in the same spiritual, emotional, mental and physical turmoil.
But let us share how we got through it...
We got through it with the support of a Christ-centered ministry! They prayed with and for us, laughed with us, cried with us, and at times fed us. They taught us God's Word through which our faith and trust in Jesus grew and successfully carried us through our college and post-college journeys. We saw God move in miraculous ways in the classroom, dorms, Student Union, and all over campus.
Even if you're coming to college with a strong relationship with God, it is also important to maintain it.
So, whether you’re searching for a community to nourish your spirit, a caring ear to listen, resources to help you navigate life's challenges, WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! We offer a safe, welcoming space where you can find rest for your soul through worship, prayer, guidance, encouragement, and most of all a growing, thriving relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the foundation for true success in every area of life.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! LIGHTHOUSE IS HERE FOR YOU.
